Frequently Asked Questions
In simple terms you are in a room with your colleagues or friends to solve puzzles and clues and your task is to figure out how to escape from the room, typically within 60 minutes. You must search everywhere, use every clue or hint, nothing is incidental in escape rooms and every piece has a meaning. In some games you have to decipher codes, read hieroglyphs or use your geography or history skills. In other games you must figure out a logical way to the next puzzle, find a hidden drawer or solve a riddle. It is as simple as that! It is still very exciting all the same, due to the ticking clock and the desire of wanting to be the best in escaping this particular game. The games at 5 QUESTS are professionally designed and made. Our goal is to make your experience as immersive as possible, as if you are a character in a scene from another place and time. All of your senses will come into play as you are surrounded by the sounds of the jungle or the feel of a stony Ancient Egyptian tomb wall. We believe the games are more exciting when you can experience all five senses and come close to being physically immersed into a story line or a theme. Of course, some of it will be down to your imagination and a desire to have a good time with your family, friends or colleagues. Real-life escape games are a growing industry worldwide with around 250 new venues opened in the U.K. alone in 2016.
If this is your first outing playing a real-life escape game, we recommend our Jungle Quest game. Our Pharaoh’s Tomb game is ideal for those who have played a couple of escape rooms before or for adventurous and clever beginners!
